"We have forgotten what joy looks like. Watch some kids playing–they make nonsense words, sing spontaneous songs, dance wildly, draw freely, laugh and scream and cry easily. By the time they are teenagers, we’ve sucked most of the soul out of them. Now they fall asleep in class, have no idea what they want to be when they grow up, and begin feeling the alienation and anxiety of modern meaninglessness. If an adult continues to express joy, playfulness, and creativity like a child, we either lock him up and give him “antipsychotics” or call him a creative genius."
The creative and energetic mind of a child can be corrupted through out life because of media, surroundings, and verbal actions. When these children mature over time they become less innocent and retain all of the negativity they come upon in their lives. This cannot be good because pictures being taken and shown are not necessarily in a good image. They can promote the negativity in a growing child and corrupt them.

That quote is amazing! Its sad that this is true, and that people don't like to realize this because they are afraid of the truth. People like to think of this as just becoming more mature; but is that true? If you judged by those standards than i would be on no level mature!
ReplyDeleteNina!!! I really like your topic, and this quote. It seems like you know what you are talking about. The picture you have in the background kind of brings in everything together, and makes your topic *POP.* The only con is that you should probably fix that graph. Anyways, Iloveyou:DD And keep on being smart my blond friend!
