What I Would Like To Know

What I would like to learn about my topic is how photography has survived through out time. Since the 1800's to now photography has thrived in the world; thus, it is still very popular. I also want to know what drives people to take explicit pictures and show them off to the world. Has photography really come down to people abusing the art? It is supposed to be about showing views, but when it is bad it is not being utilized correctly. I would also love to know where modern photographers get their ideas from. It will be interesting to see how similar photos are from then to now. In addition, I really want to know how the world reacts to different types of photos. In example, how a person feels about a nature photo compared to how they feel about a war photo. This can relate to my topic because it is all about how photography has changed and what negative and positive affects it has had on society.

My questions are:
Why is photography being abused?
What is the war photo controversy all about?
How has photography negatively impacted the World through out time?
How can we make this abusive photography stop?
Can photography be an indirect line to drugs and alcohol abuse?

What I Know About Photography

I know what it is like when a picture is taken, and it looks good reflecting what I feel or view. The feeling is accomplished and happy. The reason most photographers show off their work is to let everyone know how subjects are viewed. It can also be used to depict what is going on including war or crime. Photography dates back to the middle 1800's. It started off as black and white with a big contraption that was about the size of a large toaster. Later photos evolved to color, and the camera became smaller. The first man to take a color photo was Edward Steichen; also, he was the first modeling photographer. The color photo was the most expensive, and surprisingly it still is. Edward was a professional, and today professionals use a point-and-shoot camera, which captures better than any other camera. There are more than ten types of photos in existence that have been inspired by older photographers.
Some types are areal,

black and white,

sepia,

nature,

and fashion.

Reason Behind My Topic

Photography is a wonderful way to express feelings, views and memories. Some can be explicit, yet others can be beautiful and joyous. The reason behind my topic is that photography amazes me and I am curious to find out how the artists today get their inspiration. Photography to me is a great way to express myself and also to capture memories. It is very interesting to see the personalities and lives of other people just through their photos. Understanding the art was hard for me until I got my camera and realized just how great it can be. It is kind of like painting, except I am using the resources around me. I cannot paint my own picture; however, I can portray my own perspective on the world. Finding out how other people view the world and how they get their ideas will be an eye opener to me, and it will even be inspiring.
